		<description>I have to take exception to what Mr. McCord wrote.

If he is right then wearing business attire is also unimportant, as is also grooming.

Mr. McCord is right that the substantive part of saleswork is more important than the presentation , but just as a cake needs icing, meat needs sauce or spice and a table needs to be &quot;set&quot; for the diner - so salespeople do need to present themselves and their product professionally.

HOWEVER, I fully agree with Mr. McCord that the amount of time devoted to the development of such materials needs to be minimized. My own business focuses on providing time reducing solutions in the areas of typography, photo resources, internet presence and presentations.

When a salesperson has to provide their own support services, it is best to find a freelancer who focuses on the niche that they need and not a general purpose freelancer because the general purpose freelancer often as higher overhead expanses in order to cover all his/her services.

Collaborative project management (when multiple freelancers are needed for a single project) should also be outsourced to reduce non-productive time. ( qwerty.posterous.com )
